About The Georgia Division of the International Association for Identification

     The Georgia Division of the International Association for Identification (GAIAI) is made up of forensic professionals across the great state of Georgia. The association strives to help its membership keep up to date with the latest in the exciting field of forensic science identification. We are also involved in the development of continuing education, legislative issues which affect the forensic science field and promoting forensic science career opportunities for those new to the field. The association hosts 2 annual business and training meetings as well as a large, annual training conference. The Georgia Forensic News, published quarterly, serves as a valuable means of communicating association business, news, new and innovative products available for forensic investigation and identification as well as any new research and case law that is relevant to our profession.

 

 

     The GAIAI is just one of the many state divisions of the International Association for Identification (IAI). The scientists of the IAI hold themselves up to the highest standards, as is stated in:

     "As a member of the International Association for Identification, and being actively engaged in the profession of Scientific Identification and Investigation, I dedicate myself to the efficient and scientific administration thereof in the interest of Justice and the betterment of Law Enforcement.

  

     To cooperate with others of the profession, promote improvement through research, and disseminate such advancement in my effort to make more effective the analysis of the expert.

 

     To employ my technical knowledge factually, with zeal and determination, to protect the ethical standards of the profession of Scientific Identification and Investigation.

 

     I humbly accept my responsibility to Public Trust and seek Divine guidance that I may keep inviolate the Profession of Law Enforcement."
